Trust Your Smile With An Experienced Dentist
Crooked or misaligned teeth can affect both your self-confidence and your overall oral health. Traditional metal braces are effective, but they can be uncomfortable and more difficult to keep clean. Clear aligners offer a modern, convenient solution—virtually invisible trays that gently shift your teeth into proper alignment without wires or brackets.

Our Clear Aligner Process
1. Comprehensive Examination
We begin with a full set of X-rays and diagnostic photos to assess your overall oral health and identify any underlying conditions that might affect treatment.
2. 3D Intraoral Scan & Conebeam CT
Next, Dr. Rangel uses a digital intraoral scanner (taking a precise “digital impression” of your teeth) and a conebeam or CT scan of your teeth and jaws. These advanced images capture every angle of your dental anatomy, ensuring a highly accurate starting point for your orthodontic plan.
3. Digital Orthodontic Planning
All diagnostic data—3D scans, CBCT images, and photos—are sent to a board-certified orthodontist. Together, Dr. Rangel and the orthodontist collaborate to digitally map out the movement of each tooth, creating a custom treatment plan. This ensures precise tooth movements and optimal results.
4. Case Presentation & Preview
Once the digital plan is ready, you’ll return to our office for a case presentation. Dr. Rangel will walk you through the proposed tooth movements, allowing you to see a “before and after” preview. This gives you a clear idea of what to expect from your clear aligner treatment.
5. Aligner Fabrication
After you approve the plan, your custom clear aligners are fabricated. The number of aligners will depend on how much tooth movement is needed. Each set of aligners is designed to move your teeth incrementally over a 1–2 week period.
6. Wearing & Switching Aligners
You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks or as directed. Aligners must be worn 20–22 hours a day for best results, only removing them to eat, drink anything besides water, and brush or floss.
7. Final Retainer
When treatment is complete, you’ll receive a clear retainer to maintain your new smile. Wearing it as advised helps prevent teeth from shifting back to their original positions.
Why These Steps Matter
• Prevent Tooth & Root Damage:
Without the precision of a CBCT scan or digital intraoral scanner, there’s a greater risk of external root resorption or inaccurate tooth movements. Our technology helps avoid these complications, protecting your teeth for the long haul.
• Accurate Treatment Plans:
Many general dentists lack the advanced equipment needed for fully guided orthodontic planning. Dr. Rangel’s investment in state-of-the-art imaging ensures each step is backed by detailed data, leading to safer, more predictable results.
• Customized, Comprehensive Care:
By collaborating with a board-certified orthodontist and leveraging advanced scans, Dr. Rangel can tailor your treatment to your unique anatomy and goals. This reduces the likelihood of complications and ensures you’re thrilled with your new smile.
• Confidence & Peace of Mind:
Knowing that cutting-edge technology is guiding your treatment allows you to focus on your journey to straighter teeth—without worrying about potential unseen issues.
Why Choose Us?
1. Advanced Technology for Precision
-
Dr. Rangel utilizes digital intraoral scanning and CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) to capture detailed images of your teeth and roots. This ensures a more accurate treatment plan, reducing the risk of complications and helping predict final results more reliably.
2. Reduced Risk of Root Damage
-
Traditional wire braces can, in some cases, lead to external root resorption. Clear aligners apply gentler, more controlled forces to move your teeth, lowering the chances of root damage.
3. More Hygienic Than Traditional Braces
-
Clear aligners are removable, allowing you to brush and floss your teeth easily. This means less plaque buildup, healthier gums, and fewer long-term issues related to oral hygiene.
4. Customized Treatment Plans
-
Every smile is unique. Dr. Rangel designs a personalized plan, taking into account your specific alignment goals and oral health needs.
5. Comfort & Convenience
-
Enjoy fewer office visits, minimal irritation to your cheeks and gums, and the freedom to remove your aligners for meals or special occasions.

What are dental implants, and how do they work?Dental implants are a durable, long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth. They consist of a titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, which acts as a replacement root. Once the post integrates with the bone, a crown, bridge, or denture is attached to restore the appearance and function of the missing tooth.
-
Can dental implants help with a loose denture?Yes, dental implants can significantly improve the stability of a loose denture. Implant-supported dentures are securely anchored to implants placed in your jawbone, providing a firm foundation that prevents slipping and discomfort. This option not only enhances your ability to eat and speak confidently but also helps maintain your jawbone health. Dr. Rangel can assess your situation and determine if implant-supported dentures are the right solution for you and if you are a candidate.
-
Am I a candidate for dental implants? Most people who are in good general health and have sufficient jawbone density are candidates for dental implants. Dr. Rangel will perform a thorough evaluation, including CT Scan and a consultation, to determine if implants are the right option for you.
-
What is the recovery time after getting dental implants?Recovery time varies depending on individual factors, but most patients can expect: Initial healing from the implant placement surgery within a few days to a week. Complete osseointegration (bone fusing with the implant) in 3-6 months, after which the final restoration is placed. Dr. Rangel will provide specific aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.
